3.- SKETCH UP

QCAD is a program that allows us to design and draw. Although we can draw with it in isometric, it is not the most suitable for it. There are many programs that allow us to make 3D designs that could be printed as we will see in the next teaching unit. Among them, one of the most popular is SKETCHUP. I leave 3 examples that will allow you to familiarize yourself with their tools.

EXAMPLE Nº1:

The program has many similarities with other design programs used. If we study the piece consists of 3 parts. A base rectangle, another rectangle and finally an inclined plane. To make the figure we will follow this sequence. We will draw a rectangle in the base with the drawing tools. With the Push / Pull tool, we will convert the rectangle to 3D. We repeat the operation in the second rectangle. And finally, we draw the inclined plane. With the tool paint and selecting the colors of the library is finished. The orbiting tool will allow us to see the 3D image from different points of view.

EXAMPLE Nº 2

The process is similar to the previous one, adding the dimension. It starts with a base rectangle. To which the roof is added, moving the line joining the midpoints of the sides. The roof is highlighted using the equidistance and push tool. The stairs, the door and the window are made by adequately repeating the previously learned. To delimit, tools / dimensions are chosen. Before you have to configure the model  in Window / Model information. It is painted by selecting the appropriate materials from the library.

EXAMPLE Nº 3

The first step is to draw this figure:

After that we can transform into this:

With the move tool insert the male hinge into the female. And with the rotate tool we check that everything is correct. we can even make an animation with View / Animation / Add scene.
